I can't believe that 2011 is just around the corner. 2010 has been a year of many new experiences and challenges. I have learned that I am not meant to be a fish princess and that unexpected circumstances can become miracles or blessings.
2011 is going to be excting! I will be working 30-40 hours per week as well as keeping up with my full course load. I am planning a trip back to the Island in July for my Auntie Shirley's 50th Birthday as well as hope to go to a rodeo or two. I look forward to 2011 with great expectation of what God is going to do. There will be some new adventures which I will share more about soon.

A Keno Style Christmas on the Prairies (who would have thought)
We had a wonderful Christmas here on the flat prairie lands! All 10 of us squished in our duplex to open presents and eat a delicious turkey meal. It was so good to be together as a family even if it wasn't on the Island (this is my second Christmas ever off the Island...the other one was when my Dad was at Bible School when I was 15). We were thinking that it would be a very modest Christmas and it was but we all had a lot of fun and everyone got a few gifts.

Merry Christmas to Me!!!
Math is a thorn in my side. I used to be good at it until algebra came along and then its been downhill ever since. I just finished my last math class that I ever will have to take to complete my business degree. It was looking like a retake may be in order but I passed and I am so thankful! I had the best tutor and worked my butt off and life is good now. I am rejoicing with my 63%!! Time to party now and finish up my Christmas presents that are half done:)

I got called into work for Sunday and when I went to go and start my car I couldn't get out the front door....I tried turning the handle and it appeared to be broken and so I assumed that it was iced shut...I tried some body slams and it didn't budge. I then tried the sliding glass door and it was frozen shut and so I had to exit our house through my bedroom window...nothing like being late for work because you had to climb out your window:)
It turns out that our door knob was broken and so I could open it from outside but not the inside.

2 Down 4 to Go
It feels so good to know that I just have 4 finals left! Yes, they are the hardest ones but I am going to work my butt off and do well.
Monday: Conflict
Tuesday: Finance (yikes!)
Wednesday: Observational Behaviour
Thursday: International Business
Saturday: My family arrives for Christmas!
I am officially a Briercrest Student again and have signed up for 2 of the 5 classes so far. I am going to miss my car pool gang but look forward to being back where I know I am getting a good education. I will be going back to SIAST next January (2012) which will be the last courses that I need to take to graduate (crazy!). I am excited to see where my future will take me. I have some ideas on some jobs I would like to try and some other things I want to experience (foster parenting, going to Bulgaria on a missions trip, adopting a baby with Downs, learning how to play hockey, pursuing my masters, etc). Life rarely goes as planned though and so who knows where I will end up!!

My First Christmas on The Prairies....
...is going to include my whole family! My parents and youngest siblings are driving out here for Christmas! This is our first time to ever host a family holiday at our house and we are looking forward to it. We already have many presents under the tree (which is easy when you have 10 family members) and a turkey in the freezer.
Only two days of classes left and then onto midterms. If you could pray for me as I am having some health problems which are making it hard for me to concentrate on school work and hard to keep up with the things I need to do; like school and work. So until exams are over I will not be able to work as it will take all that I have energy wise to study and function in the school world. I got some blood tests done this weekend so hopefully the Dr will figure out whats up so I can function again at my full capability very soon.
